Welcome to The Rat's Lair, the official site of the Stranglers Information Service (SIS), OnLine. A member of the global SIS network, this site is maintained by Adrian and Christina Liggins on a strictly non-profit, volunteer, basis.

In February 1996, The Rat's Lair was born from our experience as founding members of SIS Canada (from which we departed shortly thereafter). At that time, there was no official web site, so starting one up was a logical step. Who could have guessed that, ten years later, the site would have received a million and a half visits, from fans on every continent (including Antarctica)? Sanctioned by SIS UK, we maintain close contacts with band members and management.

From this site, we aim to provide the following services:

• Up-to-date news relating to the band, and any other happenings of interest to Stranglers fans. All relevant news is generally posted within 24hrs of its receipt. This includes tour information (the one subject we get more questions about): if we know about it, and it's confirmed, it will be on the news page.
  
  
• A reference section containing relevant information, ranging from band history, discographies, reviews etc., to audio files and tribute bands.
  
  
• Fan services, such as answering individual emails.
  
  
• Details for contacting (and, where appropriate, hyperlinks to) other SIS Offices around the world.
  
  
• A (steadily growing) "Links" page, with links to Stranglers-related and other sites of interest.
